Meeting Harold
Room 1 really enjoyed our two visits to the Life Education Caravan. We learnt a lot about the air we breathe. The highlight was meeting Harold.

Room 1 Science Celebration

Room 1 was excited to see all their hard work up in the Endeavour Centre. We have been learning so much about flight. It was great to share our work with the other classes and our families. Awesome Room 1!

Balloon powered cars
What do you think Room 1? Should we have a go at making these?
We could save our milk cartoons..... But we will have to wash them,

5th in the School Cross Country
This is a photo of Kaeden receiving a School Cross Country Certificate. There was a mistake on the day. We like to celebrate each others successes in Room1 (and pull some crazy faces!).
Frogs vs Toads
Last week Room 1 read a book together called "Tiddalik". We are fascinated about frogs at the moment. Here are some facts about some flying frogs. Room 1 knows the difference between frogs and toads.
There are
three types of flying frogs. These flying frogs live in a rain forest in Malaysia:
1. The golden tree frog flies like a
parachute.
2. The javen flying frog flies like a para
glider (although we have to do some more research about the name of this frog. We do not know if we are correct).
3. The wallace frog flies like it has
aerofoils.
