Visiting Harold

There was great excitement in Room 1 after we got to have our first lesson in the Life Education Van. We learned all about being all in together and how being kind and caring to others is important.

Our visitor

This morning we had a new visitor in Room 1.  It was black and white and had four legs.  When we opened the door it walked right into our classroom just like it belonged there.  This made everyone in Room 1 get distracted from our writing about plants so we changed our minds and decided to write about the cat instead.

We really enjoyed patting the cat and watching it as it curled up in the sun

Wasp Attack!

This morning I went into the bathroom to have a shower and I heard a terrible noise.  There was lots of angry buzzing wasps flying around inside.  We had left our bathroom window open last night. This was a problem because I needed to get ready for school.
First I went and tried to find our fly spray so I could kill them because there was about 10 wasps flying around.  Unfortunately we had run out of fly spray and there was no spray left.
Next I got the fly swot.  This was tricky because the wasps were flying around very fast and that made me a little bit scared.
Then I chased one wasp at a time and smacked it hard with the fly swot.  It felt good to kill the wasps. I picked up the dead wasps and threw them into the rubbish bin.
After that I got into the shower but suddenly I heard that buzzing noise coming straight for me.  A wasp landed on my shoulder and stung me!  It was horrible.  I let out a scream which made my family come running into the bathroom.
Later I put the cream on my skin and shut the window of the bathroom.  I hope those wasps do not visit us again.
