How Much Is 1,500?

Today we learnt that a queen bee lays 1,500 eggs a day?  So that made us think.  How much is 1,500?  We used popsicle sticks to show how much 1,500 is.  We grouped the sticks in 10's and then cunted in 100's all the way until 1,500.  We learnt that we had to be careful not to say ten hundred but say one thousand.

This afternoon we are making changes to our dormant (alive but resting) tree.  We will be making some flowers, buds and leaves.
